Scaler uses GWP values from the IPCC 5th Assessment Report (AR5), 100-year time horizon by default. For pure substances, GWP values are sourced directly from AR5. For blended refrigerants, AR5 does not publish GWP values for the blend as a whole. In these cases, Scaler uses a calculated blend value derived from the weighted sum of the AR5 GWP values of each component gas, following the methodology in EU F-Gas Regulation Annex IV.
Gases marked with * in the tables above use calculated blend values.
