<aside> ⚠️
Portfolios using the “Default” emission factor set will automatically update to the new default. This will affect GHG emissions in analytics and generated reports where factors have changed. Previous emission factor sets can still be selected manually under Data Collection Portal > Portfolio Settings > Emission Factors.

CRREM has released updated decarbonization pathways for both Europe and North America under version v2.07. These updates reflect methodological improvements and newly available data.
Key updates in v2.07 (Europe + North America):
Shift from Net Energy Demand (NED) to Total Energy Consumption
All pathways are now based on total gross energy use, rather than subtracting on-site renewables. This improves consistency and avoids rewarding on-site generation without considering efficiency.
Emission Factors Updated and Harmonized
1.5°C “All GHG” Pathway
A benchmark is available that includes all greenhouse gases (GHGs), not just CO₂.
This pathway accounts for fugitive refrigerant emissions (F-gases), e.g. from HVAC and cooling systems.
Assets may be benchmarked against this if fugitive emissions are collected and reported.
