What's new

Structural changes

• Building Measures and Risk Assessments sheets have reverted to matrix format
• Building Measures matrix includes 27 measure type columns; Risk Assessments includes 19 assessment type columns

New and updated fields

• Source field added to Roadmap Measures (field already exists in the platform)
• Installation fields renamed: Assembly emissions → Assembly leakage; Disposal emissions → Decommission leakage; expected input unit changed from kgCO2e to kg
• For Building Measures and Risk Assessments sheets: “Unit” descriptor added to all year fields. Fields previously had no unit label and now display most recent reporting year. This clarifies that the value entered should reflect the reporting year in which the measure or assessment was conducted. Fiscal year reporters should enter the year in which the majority of their FY period falls (e.g. FY Jun 2025–May 2026 → enter 2025; FY Jul 2025–Jun 2026 → enter 2026).

Dropdown updates

• Certifications

  • Updated and new certification options and energy ratings aligned with GRESB 2026
  • New granularity for NABERS & BREEAM/In Use
    • NABERS: NABERS/Water, NABERS/Waste, NABERS/Indoor Environment (IEQ) have been added. It is important to note that these do not export to the GRESB Spreadsheet. GRESB only allows NABERS/Multi-rating, for which an asset must have achieved 3/4 NABERS certifications. This must be manually done.
    • BREEAM/In Use: In Scaler, it is now possible to specify which part has been certified, (Part 1, 2 or 3). GRESB only recognizes BREEAM/In Use. Reporting Part 1, 2, or 3 in Scaler will map to “BREEAM/In Use” in the GRESB Spreadsheet.

  

• Canada Energy Network: province/territory dropdown options added, consistent with existing Australia and USA patterns

F-gas: 17 new gases added

• 17 new refrigerants added to the F-gas type list, including natural refrigerants and low-GWP HFO blends. See the dedicated f-gas release note for the full gas list and GWP values.

How it works

Matrix format revert (Building Measures, Risk Assessments) These sheets have returned to the column-per-type matrix format. The matrix format means each asset occupies a single row, with measure or assessment types as columns — simpler to complete than the entry-based format, which required one row per measure per asset. The trade-off is that the spreadsheet reflects only the most recent entry for each measure or assessment type. To view the full history of recorded dates, or to edit or delete individual entries, use the platform directly.
